I'm shutting my computer to crawl into bed and read a little some of John Quincy Adams : A Public Life, a Private Life. I started it last night and love it. It's based on JQA's personal diary that he started at 11 years of age and continued for the next seven decades.
I've always been interested in his willingness to put everything on the table - reputation, political equity, everything - regarding the slavery issue. May God raise up more men willing to speak the truth whatever the cost.
