man, I was thinking that he would stick to this one. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. After all, he is a politician...we still have Falwell..never mind..

There ya have it. You called it Randy.

Although...technically he isnt recanting what he said, only that he is sorry he said it, and that he was insensitive.

Maybe the way he said it was etc... or the reality of losing a piece of a 50m investment made it seem like a lot less sensitive thatn he hoped.

This only leads me to pray for mercy for us... that we would be those that would know the truth, speak the truth, and stand upon the truth. woe to me when i speak idle words... woe to me when i fear man above the living god. may the lord be merciful to us and strengthen us with might in the inner man.

I am praying God would raise up true prophets in this nation -- those who would not be bought and those whose message would not change when there is a threat to financial resources ove rsomething they said. Let's face it, during the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation someone is going to have to stand up and say "This guy is FALSE! This peace is NOT what you think!" Even the church will stone us for that. Might as well practice now. God, give us prophets with guts and true faith!

Dittos, Jenny. And may we be ones with humility, meekness and power when we have a microphone stuck to our face. I may not be any different than Pat, but I want to pray that I will be.

I never was sure about the those statements he made though, I tended to agree with him. Being the prophetic sort, I tend to put a prophetic spin on a lot of things. I've learned to tell these things to those who are close and who I repect just to let them know what I was feeling at the time of an event. If it was God I heard from, praise Him for His faithfulness. If it was the pizza I ate a few hours earlier, at least I didn't ring this out publicly. Beside's, Skip and Ann won't stone me if I'm wrong. How should we then live?
