A few weeks back, I posted my wonderings about Rick Warren interviewing the candidates, and I have to back up for a minute. I didn't intend my comments to be particularly negative towards him, but I can see how people might have taken it that way.
In the interest of fairness, I have to say I was completely impressed by Warren's questions. "Which US Supreme Court Judge would you not have nominated?" was flat out brilliant. I felt he also spent significant time on the hard issues that were important to me.
While I still lament the days when ministers made leaders more nervous than comfortable, I think the Faith Forum was very productive and helpful.
There. Done with that bowl of crow.
