Yes, I fully understand how corny it is to start with a goat joke, but I had to introduce the photo at the right.
We discovered these two and ten of their buddies about 5 miles from our cabin. They weren't too freaked out by us, but gave us a pretty good show by scaling the side of the mountain when they finally made their retreat.
We're finally home now, having made the Breckenridge, CO to Kansas City, MO run in 11 hours flat, including one fuel stop and a couple of very fast potty stops. Not bad for two vehicles - one pulling a trailer - and fifteen humanoids, most of them under 12 years old! Never underestimate the power of an early start or a heavy foot.
