Didn't see this one coming.

OK, I've never seen this show in my life, but I know it exists. I still thought Randy Jackson was paying off the debts of the Victory Tour. Anyway, I ran across this via Collide magazine.

In an unexpected turn of events, Jesus makes the top ten.

They are just trying to suck Christians into watching a show that has the name "Idol" in it. Sick....

I may be joking....

Who knows...

I think it's a different Randy Jackson. Kinda like Dwayne is a facsimile of you, except you have different names.I know it's a stretch, it's early, I'm in need of coffee, the dog ate my brain.

Aww, nevermind....

Having watched the show a few times (I watch the bad tryouts and the finale) it really seemed awkward. they did a great job (as they should) but it just seemed weird - and I am getting tired of reading all the blogs complaining about the "censoring" of the lyrics - they dropped the word 'Jesus'
and thanks for not being one of those sites, I have higher standards for you ;)

MU - I think the sang 'shepherd' one week and 'Jesus' the next. Which is once more than some fabled worship teams.

Ouch.

it's just not quite the same when the ones singing aren't worshipping, but still...those lyrics speak. nothing compares to the promise we have in him.

Chuck - you are grand master. I learn from you.

You're right. It IS a different Randy Jackson. Turns out this one played bass guitar for Journey for a while.

Victoria - I'm not so quick to decide they weren't worshiping. I hope no one watches me this closely during church....
