redefining pitiful...

OK, so I turned forty a few weeks ago and ordered myself a celebratory Timbuk2 bag. I was so excited that I blogged about it as I waited for it to arrive.

Friday, it showed up. I was doubly excited because I was looking forward to using it on a trip to Las Vegas the next morning. My family decided to bring it to me over at the Missions base. Without implicating any one individual...it was placed on the roof of the truck rather than in the truck.

It did not make it to IHOP.

It's gone. Evaporated. Disappeared. We drove the route back and forth five or six times and apparently someone picked up the package. With my address on it. But it's still gone.

Let us take a moment of silence....

Ouch!! So close and yet so far! May God wake the person up in the middle of the night and strongly suggest that they deliver the package back to the addressee. He could always throw in a little lightening and thunder for good measure - I know I'd give it back if I were them!!
