TheCall > We Put the Eat in Meeting!

Today was a pivitol day in the history of TheCall office here in KC. Up until now, the office has been a sorry little strip mall location manned by three people skimming wifi from the neighbor and wondering when reinforcements would arrive.

Today, they did. The rest of the team was in town and in the office. Suddenly we had cubicles. Suddenly we had telephones - real ones with cords and everything. We had coffee at Cat5 cable and post its and a meeting.

And then we ate.

This afternoon we did our team meeting where I explained a few roles and charted out the next few days. Tonight, we all gathered at the Casa De La Bohlender to throw down some serious red meat, Korean Italian Pasta Salad, Corn on the Cobb, Salad and Dessert. And it was very, very good.

I cannot over emphasize how excited I am about this team. The combination of skill and humility rocks me. Oh what tales we'll tell in coming months, of dragons slayed and maidens rescued. Of pizza's eaten and Americanos dranken. Of gatherings planned and held...the seeds of a revolution planted long ago rising to fruition.

These, friends, are days of destiny. It's only fitting that it began with red meat. Next stop, Las Vegas.

It's amazing how critical the choice of team members is! These are the people you work with, run with and dream with. And with The Call and onething, we also travel together. I've been SO blessed to work with all of my best friends. What a difference it makes when we love each other and actually ENJOY hanging out. :-)

Also... dinner parties make it even better. We had one too last night... we should have TP'd your house and started a little friendly war. Hehehe

Joanna

You do NOT want to start messing with this team. They sleep on hard floors and drink only water. They wear camels' hair and eat bugs. We are lean, mean and on the scene.

And sometimes they don't even drink water. (Although Esther probably did).

Haha... this is true! You are tough. However we have dealt with Delta airlines customer service agents and have mastered the art of schmoozing sky cappers! :-)
