It's Buggy, It's Beta, but it's Better...

Last summer, techwhiz Brent Steeno tipped me off to Blue Phone Elite. I've used it for months - it's a killer integration of your bluetooth phone and your computer. For instance, I can send text messages by typing them on my keyboard, which explains how I've buried some of you in text messages. Also, when you call, your name appears in a translucent window on my desktop, allowing me the option of hitting ANSWER or INGORE....not that I've ever done that to you.

Anyway, Blue Phone Elite 2 Beta is out and it rocks, bugs and all.

I haven't figured it all out yet, but one great feature is that upon closing a call, it offers you a chance to send a record of that call to your iCal, so you know who called when. You can also add notes to the call to keep things straight for your deposition.

This is probably the best $20 software I've purchased - and version 2 is free if you have version 1. And I owe it all to Steeno....

I must admit it was a great find. I am humbled by your constant reference of my name on your blog today. Thank you.

Well, that explains it! I thought you were just a really skilled texter.

Too bad my phone isn't compatible. :(

Is this that program where you walk away with your phone in your pocket and it senses the proximity so the screen-saver turns on, and then when you come back the screen-saver turns off?

That's cool. When I get a new phone, I'm getting Blue phone elite 2 beta! Except by then it will be Blue Phone 9.

If it indeed has beena few months already, we must start a fundraising campaign, as Mr B goes through technology quickly. Thanks for the warning Mr B.
