Friday Night Unwind

After a long week, there's nothing that helps me relax like a quality recording.

I spent an hour tonight stitting in a dark room with a velvet smooth cup of coffee, listening to my own cd, released a few years back when many felt I was at the apex of my Sunday Morning Announcement career. Some have sensed a slump in recent years, although I did have that great moment this summer when I mentioned the IHOP 7th Anniversary shirts as being available in a manly chocolate brown or an effeminate blue.

Where do we order this cd? And how much are they? Do you take credit cards?

So, when do WE get to hear the "mundane set to music" for ourselves?

It's time for the 2007 Remix to be released!

what about the announcement when you wore a chef's gown and declared there would be food after FCF?

Tim - ok, to be clear, there WAS food after FCF. Lots of it.

And it wasn't a chef's costume. It was a hair net and an apron from Mike Frank's kitchen...dark green with red letters across the front declaring JOY.

Mike Bickle never really recovered from the sight of me in the hair net.

I just want to say that I really wanted to hear the bonus track, because it made me laugh so hard when I heard it live. I was quite disappointed that I couldn't just click on the title and hear it....

Is it bad that I immediately wanted to buy this?

Ducky -

All it means is you are a person of great taste and I am a person who has missed out on a great fund raising opportunity.

Given the "food after FCF" announcement and all... maybe you should think about creating a DVD as well. I mean... lets think multimedia here. Audio tracks can only go so far...

Also, you might consider doing announcements at Sunday evening FCF. You know... increase your fan-base and all. (Plus, most of my friends yell at me when I stay up late enough to go to the morning service. Thus, I am rarely blessed by the ability to hear your fabulous announcements.)

Anyway... think it through.

Christine, you know...I thought about it, but for me, it's all about the art, not the audience. To do multiple gigs to increase a fan base seems so Vegas...so Ciline Dionesque, you know. Live in the suburbs, take a helecopter in to the venue, do my gig and go home.

It's so not about that.
