Word of the Day

I'm in a meeting with a raving Brit who just used the word penultimate.

I am in awe.

Wow. That is a great word. I want to start learning one new word a day.

With the last name of Scott,I was usually penultimate in line. Just before Zorro. Elijah, my 11 year old, knew the definition. Homeschooling rocks. You can tell I am not teaching him...

Can you use that in a sentence?

P.S. I made the cover of Time Magazine. Check out my Xanga.

I was so wring. I thought that meant near the top. But it means near the end? Geeez. No wonder everytime I use that word with a Brit they look at me emphatically!

For a country subservient to Mother England, yes, it makes total sense.
