a place to sit...
After 11 months, I am finally sitting down. Well, that sounds drastic, but it does serve to illustrate how tight office space is at the House of Prayer. Mucho thanks to Kevin Matthews, who, when I recently took on a larger role with the senior leadership team, decided that I could no longer work out of a backpack in the coffee shop. His department has space in an apartment adjacent to IHOP and some reconfiguring landed me with a very nice space. Double kudos to Jason der Vonder Man for assembling my desk. (dude, when did you get time to do that?)
I spoke to the summer interns last night on the topic of leadership - challenged them to step up to the plate soon. Every time I talk to young people I'm reminded how l o n g it's been since I youth pastored.
We spent tonight cruising subdivisions for possible homes (ranches, split foyers, ledges under bridges, etc). We're out of this place in 27 days. Stay tuned....
