stuff i think

I took the better part of a day off today to take all three of the boys to the American Royal...a 104 year old event here in KC that features a rodeo, livestock shows, and horse shows. We missed the first two - this thing's been going on for a month, it seems - but did catch the horse shows. It's times like this when I realize how removed my suburbanite boys are from my very rural upringing.

As a quartet, we (re)discovered:

1) Horses really do smell. Even expensive ones.

2) There's a fine line between lookin' fine and lookin' goofy. Horse show folks are not aware of this.

3) A man with three sons is wealthy.
