And another thing...

For those of you who thought my prior post on the co-opting of kindness was whack, now, in addition to the Buddhists, we will now be the focus of kindess outreach from the Bank of North Dakota.
FARGO, North Dakota (AP) -- A bank is giving its full-time employees $1,000 each and part-time employees $500 each. There's one condition -- use it for people in need.

State Bank & Trust Chief Operating Officer Michael Solberg said each full-time employee will receive $1,000 and each part-time employee will receive $500, as part of a $502,000 "Pay it Forward" initiative.

"We're going to really see some huge impact on our community," Solberg said.

Employees were told not to use the money for themselves, their families or families of other bank employees.
Be kind. Go about doing good. But pray to God something happens before the church is relegated to a list that includes the Buddhists, the bank, Public Radio and Oprabama.

Addendum: Please understand I'm not bashing the Bank of North Dakota, I'm merely pointing out that it will take more than kindness to make a church stand out in coming days. In fact, I love that the Bank of North Dakota is doing this. I only wish they would have thought of this back when I had a student loan with them. :)
