40 cups for 40 years

I received a lot of coffee last week. Good coffee. From all over the world. And a gift card for - you guessed it, coffee. And a mug that I can fill at a local coffee shop for a measly fifty cents.

Add this to the fact that TheCall team is rather coffeecentric. Of the seven of us who work their regularly, I count six regular coffee drinkers. The seventh will convert eventually. Rarely does more than a few hours go by without one of us (ok, me) announcing "Coffee time" and a pot is brewed. We have even coerced my new assistant to drink it properly (black) by refusing to provide her with the customary sissy-girl coffee garnishes.

All that to say I've had a lot of coffee today. And yesterday. And the day before that? Yeah, then too.

I think I'm going to make a cup of tea.

Oh, no! How could you refuse someone their sissy-girl coffee garnishes?

If it weren't for those, I couldn't drink coffee at all...

if you want to put a godly spin on consuming copious amounts of caffeine, this guy does it

Unfortunately, I've seen the same arguments supporting the use of pot.

Speaking of pot, when I started drinking coffee (at the age of 14) it was to fit in with the 'cool' kids. And by cool kids, I mean my worship team at church. That's right - coffee was my pot equivalent.

And I started black. Anything more is just wrong.
