Photo Phriday

Today I was reminded that Burning Man begins this weekend.

I saw former Burning compadre Tom Mills and suggested we go max out our credit cards at Home Depot as some sort of memorial to our last trip (where, in ten minutes, we McGyver/Upgraded a tabletop grill to accept 25 gal propane tank fittings instead of the dinky bottles, despite the 17 year old clerk's admonitions of "I don't think you're supposed to do that....".)

In memory of all that and more, I offer the following Burning Photos with minimal commentary.

2000: 5000 bottles of water and no clue what we're doing.

Dust makes for great sunrises. This was in 2004 I think.

We met Anthony on our first day at the Burn, 2000. Anthony has a wild story and killer BMW bike.

Here's me riding another wild bike, 2002, as Robbie Reider cautions me to drive safely. Still nearly put myself in the hospital though - it was NOT easy to ride. Might have been the hat.

Hard to comment on a man with a goat head on drinking water.

Here's our Burning Neighbor, Chuck, who camped next to us in 2000 and 2002. I think he's explaining how level the ground was before he put his tent up.

Somewhere between Des Moines and Omaha, I pulled a Tony Stewart stop in a rest area and the hitch of our 22 foot trailer broke. For real. This was incredibly scary.

Kyle Wade vegging out.

Is there a documentary? I'd love to see video of all the goings on!

P.S. Love the blue "desert suit" with the hat - how did you ever decide what outfits to pack?! : )
