A year ago this week...
We were stumbling through our first Omega Intensive.
The ever-efficient Danielle, event uber-planner and single hipster, was living in our basement and making the details of the event look effortless. She was pondering a backpacking trip through Europe. We were trying to convince her to just stay here, which made our lives pretty fun.
A year later, she's married - to someone we introduced her to, of all things - and living in SoCal with her husband, two kids and a dog.
A year ago this week...
We were tearing the snot out of our kitchen, in the beginning stages of a remodeling project that ran too incredibly long to believe. We had no running water in our kitchen for 90+ days!
Along the way, we reconfigured the whole room, took out a window, laid tile, purchased lights - returned them - and purchased funkier lights, all resulting in a killer kitchen.
A year later, we're selling it.
A year ago this week...
We were just beginning to fill out paperwork and talk about adoption. We had no money raised and no clue what we were doing. Thank God for Amy and her crew, who made the whole thing manageable.
Thousands of dollars and one year later, I get to look at this smiling face every cottin' pickin' day!
Kinda makes you wonder where we'll be a year from now...

Randy,
I think it is very wise to take a moment to reflect on where we've come from in the past year, five years, etc. My wife and I are quite intentional in celebrating these kind of victories and milestones. We even celebrate every year on a specific date that marks the lowpoint in our marriage from several years back. It is a glorious time because what the enemy intended for destruction, God has used it to perpetuate His honor and glory! Praise God!
Makes me wonder too Randy!! LOL. think about all the facotrs that had to happen to get me this blessed! Save those baby pictures...
BTW... you are right. Not only is there a babe leading prayer at the IHOP sometimes, but me and the fam sat down and watched her on TV with the BIG GUNS during the conference. WOW.
Wow! A lot really has happened this past year. I would have never guessed last year that I would be where I am now.
Uh, Dannie, we probably couldn't have guessed it either! Although you were well on your way to smitten when you were here last summer!!! (You guys are too cute by the way....)
