OK, that would explain it...

So last night, I'm trying to get Zoe to sleep while listening to the audio version of Jared Daimond's How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed on the iPod. It's the full length version, so we're talking 24 cd's broken into about 10 chapters each, with each chapter being six to eight minutes.

Anyway, I'm listening and it is really hard to follow....like, I know this guy is an egg head, but I am not tracking in the slightest.

Then I notice....the iPod is set on Shuffle. No WONDER he makes these radical topic changes every few minutes - I'm jumping back and forth between 240 different tracks!

I did that once with an Alan Hood sermon and then tried to make sense of it on a flight. It was particularly good when he said something like,"and then Jesus replied in all meekness and humility, .....(shuffle).... you white washed tombs, repent!" It was pretty funny.lkccmsf

This may be a lesson for our preaching class! Not sure how, just yet, but it's gotta be related to organization and continuity somehow.

It would be scary if it made more sense on shuffle than it does as a regular book.
