This afternoon, we tore into the kitchen. We tore up the tile in record time, and then spent the better part of the evening tearing up the underlayment. This is accomplished by sticking a pry bar under the edge of the underlayment and beating the everyliving snot out of the bar with a heavy hammer. If you pound with all your might, the underlayment comes out....in 2 inch squares.
Tonight, there is a very real possibility that my right arm will fall off as I sleep.

It's meerly a flesh wound.
The weirdest thing happened last night....there was a right arm in the bed next to me. It had fallen off while Randy slept.
If you call me today, and I don't answer, it's because I'm eating a sandwich.
Eric and I offered to get the pnuematic jack hammer from the parking lot.
What kind of sandwich? I'm hungry.....
Man, I feel for you! We just did that back in December...wait until you have to sit for hours and pull the staples out of the sub flooring, unless you were blessed to have the underlayment glued instead of stapled. I be we pulled out about 2000 staples in a 13 x15 area.
So you should be done with the kitchen by Monday then right? :)
Get good on the tiling, I know of another job for you when you are finished . It is a whole new avenue of support!
