Every blogger has their favorite personal link...the place they're mentioned that they just think is the coolest. Well, I just found this and I think is one of the funniest.
It's doubly weird because if you go to the film listing, they only list four people. Not clue how I made the cut. And top billing over Larry Harvey!
I'm pictured here clowing around with my co-star on location. Strangely enough, it was taken four years later, but we were certainly on location. Note classy rope lighting.
Clicking on the video box will give you more of a clue on what was going on at the time. The artwork for the project was quite amazing, although it's not easy to take an uninteresting picture in that setting.
Renee Roberts was very fun to meet. I remember her peeking out from behind the camera and shaking her head in disbelief as she figured out that we had no logical reason for being where she found us...yet we were men on a mission. At the close of the shooting she, the soundgal and their friend had tears in their eyes. I've kept in touch once in a while over the years and she's always gracious and living an interesting life. Last I talked to her - perhaps 2 years ago - she had purchased an delapitated adobe commune in New Mexico.

You never cease to amaze me, Randy. I'm sure you will be pulling stuff out of you sleeve like this for years. Next time I'm in KC I'd love to see you on screen, 'cause I'm sure you own a copy of this documentary.
A word of caution.... Now that you are a big-time celebrity beware of distant relatives knocking on the door. By the way, did I mention we are related? Knock, knock!
gayle - I'm so big time that this film was made six years ago and none of you have heard of it.
liz - I have many secrets. I'm a man of mystery with multiple lives. Once I perfect bilocation, there will be twice as many stories. And yes, I do own a copy of this. Somewhere.
