Last week, in a nutshell.
TUES: Drive to Arlington. Get lost en route. Pick up iBook with newly installed Hard Drive. It lasts three hours.
THURS: Drive to Arlington. Get lost en route. Take iBook to Genius Bar because new hard drive is funky. Have Genius assure me the HD is fine, it's a software issue. Return home. HD lasts 2 hours.
FRIDAY: Drive to Arlington. Get lost en route. Take iBook to Genius Bar because new hard drive is funky. Have Genius assure me the HD is fine, it's a software issue. Growl my best Tiger growl at Genius. Return home. HD lasts twenty minutes.
SATURDAY: Drive to Arlington. Nearly get lost en route. Take iBook to Genius Bar because new hard drive is still funky. Have Genius assure me the HD is fine, it's a software issue. Roll eyes at Genius. Return home. HD never works right.
SUNDAY:Drive to Arlington. Nearly drive the forty five minutes with my eyes closed from repeated practice. Take iBook to Genius Bar because new hard drive is still funky. Finally convince Genius that HD is funky. They take it in for repair and give me a copy of Tiger to appease me. I am not appeased.
I now own a copy of Tiger and have no Mac to install it on.
