"Extraordinary circumstances". I promise you - any judge that doesn't line up with the left's ideology will warrant a filibuster. In the end, McCain positions himself as a central 'man of the people', diverting a crisis in the Senate and emerging as The Dealmaker. Can you say "Positioning for 2008?...at the expense of his own party?"
I cannot believe they caved.
