If you miss Mayberry, check out Velva, the little burg where I went to school (K-12 in the same building, thank you very much.) I loved the community calendar. Three events this week...a two basketball games and an elementary Christmas program. Keep in mind it's a community-wide calendar. If it doesn't happen at the school in Velva, it doesn't happen.
