cough, cough....

Well, it explains the shortness of breath, that's for sure.

I went to the doctor today, for what is the first trip in 2 1/2 years. Not to say I haven't been sick; I'm just stubborn.

A week ago or so I noticed a shortness of breath. Precise medical instruments told me this afternoon that my lung capacity is 3/4 of what it should be. Actually, the precise medical instrument looked like a toy that came in a bag with a hamburger, but it worked.

This morning I woke up with a raging fever and little toleration for stimulus of any kind....noise, impact, brainwaves. If it moved, it hurt. At 10 AM I migrated from the bed to the couch, where I stayed until the Good Missus hauled me to the doctor this afternoon for the diagnosis of Brontosaurus. er, Bronchitus. Whatever. Hurts like the dickens to breath. Or look. Or hear.

Other than that, I'm fine, really. Thanks for asking.

I love it when the walk from bed to the couch feels like navigating hazardous territories of unseen dangers, it ends up as such an accomplishment.
